The wind turbine foundations were laid between 28 November and 1 December 2006, alongside the foundations for the house extension. The slideshow below shows the foundations being made and the turbine being installed and commissioned. The anchor point — a substantial concrete block to which the turbine is winched down for biennial maintenance — is also visible.
